Blog EntryFotografer LiarMar 30, '08 9:36 AM
for everyone

Sekian.

Beth Agustina, lulusan fotografi yang bukan fotografer. peace...

Blog EntryMarilyn Manson dan Transeksual HitlerJul 16, '07 8:06 AM
for everyone

Jubah hitam, full make up di wajah, aksesoris seram di seluruh tubuh. Gothic. Sangat Marilyn Manson. Mereka terlihat ternganga melihat karya-karya Manson.

Dia pernah dianugerahi gelar "Reverend Manson" oleh pendiri Gereja Setan (The Church of Satan) Anton LaVey.

Title : Love Creates Love
Year : 2002
Size : 12 inch x 18 inch, printed on digital photo paper
Model : Vita (still alive) and Agus (still alive)

Concept:
This photo talks about feminism. Beside trying to make themselves equal with men, feminist also believe that their domestic part is a torture for them. Radical feminist even hate men and campaign to other women to be really independent -avoid men in all kinda things. A feminist, Ti-Grace Atkinson, in her book Amazon Odyssey (1974) tried to leave out women thought of marriage institute with using her analization; 'the phenomenon of love'. She would have people bear in mind that love between man and woman is a suppression to woman. Still according to Atkinson, these women in love considered as sick people and not free.

Blog Entry(Ghost Story)Dec 9, '06 5:28 AM

When I got hometown days ago, I realized that one of my art photography wasn't hangin on my room's wall again. It's in the floor, facing the wall. Hm...

"Who took it off from the wall? " I asked my mom.
"Your brother visited days ago and it was him put it down," mom replied.
"Huh. But why?"
"I don't know. I think same case with your sister's friend months ago."
"Eh? What case?"

Then mom told me that months ago my sister came with kids and her friend. because my parents don't have room for guest, she let my sis's friend to sleep in my room and my sis sleep in her room with kids. But suddenly, in the middle of the night her friend ran away from my room with pale face and moved to my sis's room right away without any words. The next morning, that friend said that while she was sleeping, she felt like one of my photo with big face as object alive and it made her scare to death.

Hm...

Then I sms my sis in Jakarta. I know she still in hospital, just had caesar surgery, but I couldn't resit to ask her what happened with her husband when he stayed in my room (when I'm not here, my brother always prefer to sleep in my room cos more sunshines and facing the garden). My sis replied, " When he was in your room, he always felt like someone is watching him. Its your photo. He took it off and alles klar..."

Ukh. So its ghostly photograph??? But how come?? OK the photo lil bit scary but when I made that photo I didn't mean to make horror photo. It's photo about gender and woman right (better not explain the concept here cos its gonna be too looong). The model is Vita, my friend and she's bloody alive! No reason for her to ghosting people! lolz...And the effect on that photo, I created it with burning the film and did some extra work in dark room.

"You also ran away from your room on your last visit. You said you saw dark something..." mom reminded me.
"Ah yeah, but its not from my photo! That black thing stood in front of my window, outside. Stood there and fade away. But somehow I can feel that it touch me cos I felt warm on my right arm. But anyway...Its not from my photo1 My photo is innocent!"
" Then you can put it on the wall again. You will stay here for months, so it will be only you sleep in your room."

Put it again? Hmm...Now I have a doubt. Do I have to put it on the wall again? Then I'll be busy spell a bunch of pray before I sleep. Ukh! I like d photo! I got A in Expression Photography in University because of this photo (in fact the photo is part of series photo. I have 4 photos for this series. The one I put in this blog is not the ghostly photo. But the ghostly photo is similar with this photo. Broken female face with same effect. I don't have the ghostly photo in my comp, thats why I put this photo on). Thats why I print it quite big for exhibition and put it on my room afterward. And now do I have to put it on basement?
Ukh...

Day ago watched Oprah Winfrey show about her Book Club. She choose Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy for summer reading in her club and she started it with saying 'Don't be scared' regarding to that thick book with many russian names inside.
I always want to read that book! But I'm scared! Remember when I was kid, my mom always busy tried hard to finish that book beside working in hospital and cleaning the house :(

Btw i always curious whose Oprah make up stylist? She always looks beautiful with make up!

Lastnite was the opening of my sister n friends painting exhibition at Hilton. Joined the party with Yurika and also trying the new camera Canon Powershoot S70 7.1 mega pixel!!
But all the pics are without flash..so bit shaky aka blur hehe...

Dido: “Did you really hope, you traitor, to be able to hide so foul a crime and to sneak quietly away from my land? Does not our love, or my right hand which once I gave you, or Dido destined to die a cruel death deter you? Even worse,do you struggle to prepare the fleet in the wintry season, and hurry to cross the sea when the North Winds blow, you savage? If you were not making for foreign fields and an unknown home, and ancient Troy still stood, would you be heading for Troy in your ships across the stormy sea? Is it me that you flee? I beg you, by these tears, and by your right hand - since I have left myself with nothing else - by our wedding, by our marriage that we began,I beg you, if I ever deserved well of you, or anything of mine was sweet to you, have pity on my failing house and, if there is any room still for prayers, give up your intention. It is because of you that the nations of Africa and the Numidian rulers hate me, and my own people are hostile; It is because of you again that my honour and my former reputation - my only route to heaven - have been destroyed. Who are you abandoning me to, to die, my “guest” - since this is the only name for you instead of “husband”? Why do I delay? Until my brother Pygmalion destroys my walls or Gaetulian Iarbas leads me off a captive? At least if I could have conceived a child for you before your desertion, if I had a baby Aeneas to play in the palace, whose expression could remind me of you, I should not seem so utterly lost and abandoned.”

Aeneas: “I shall never, my queen, deny that you did with kindness all the many things you were able to list, nor shall I be ashamed to remember Dido, as long as my memory lasts, while there is breath in my body. I shall speak briefly and to the point. I did not intend to hide my escape with secrecy - don't imagine I did, and I never held out the wedding-torch or entered into this contract. If the fates allowed me to lead my life according to my own choice and to settle my worries to my own liking, I should be caring for the city of Troy first and the dear remains of my household, Priam's high roofs would remain and I would have restored the citadel of Troy for the conquered. But now it is great Italy that Apollo of Gryneum, it is Italy that the Lycian oracles have ordered me to make for; this is my love, this is my homeland. If it is the citadels of Carthage and the sight of an African city that captivate you, a Phoenician, what is your objection, tell me, to Trojans settling in an Italian land? It is right for us to to seek kingdoms abroad. Whenever night hides the earth with its damp shadows, whenever the fiery stars come out, the troubled ghost of my father Anchises rebukes me in my dreams and terrifies me; so to does my boy Ascanius, and the wrong I do to one so dear, whom I am robbing of the kingship of Italy and the lands ordained by destiny. Now indeed the messenger of the gods sent by Jupiter himself - I swear on both our lives - has brought orders through the racing winds: I saw the god in a clear light entering the walls and drank in his words with these ears. Stop inflaming us both with your complaints; I do not seek Italy of my free will.”
