Brazil will play against Australia today, and of course I hold Brazil for this. I'm not a fan of Brazil but compare to Australia??? I even bought Brazil t-shirt for the game tonight. Me and my boyfriend will wear it and watch fussball in Australian club in Bali hehehe... I hope we won't get trouble later
QUIET BALIAt work again. In Jakarta city. Had great time in Bali but yeah…Bali is not the same anymore (yet). Last time I went to Bali was on last September and now, after the second bomb, Bali is really different from the last time I came here. So quiet. Still there are some tourists there but well…not that much. Arrived at Kuta 29 Dec around 10pm and it was hard to get ordinary dinner in Poppies Lane 2 at that hour cos most the restaurants were closed. It used to be so many people walking, said hi each others or some Australian guys sitting and drinking in front of Circle K or around Kori café in Poppies 2 but that night…none. The hotel I stayed was so quiet also. Maybe only 10 rooms were filled and most of them were local tourist. This is my third time stayed in Palm Garden, but yeah…this is the emptiest quiet time I ever had here. After dinner (finally found resto with VERY limited menu and zero taste) me and Ewi decided to go back to hotel and sleep. We had rough day at work before. Tired. And quiet Bali really bother me :( SIR ELTHON JOHNThe next day, Friday 30 Dec after did some shopping, a friend I know since September (or is it August?) Vincent, and his friend Romuald picked us for dinner. I forgot the name of the resto but it’s near the location of Bali bomb 2 in Kuta Square. The food was dazzling. I'm glad that our French friends love soto and sop buntut goreng hehe... After dinner we went to Hard Rock center stage and we met Elton John there. He just married and got honeymoon in Bali. It was cool, he’s a really nice guy. Had few chit-chat with him. I think he’s a really down to earth person. He didnt mind to come to our table, talked so smooth, patiently and always answer all the questions even it’s the odd ones hehe…Got picture with Sir Elton John, but still waiting Vince to send it to me. BOMB PARANOIASaturday, me and Ewi had several dreams; snorkeling, parasailing and Jimbaran. But then a bomb news shocked us out. It was in Palu and we’re pretty worry about Bali as well. Ewi tried to get information from her TV station and Thx god Bali seemed fine. But another problem was euh…the weather was so bad. The sky was so dark and easily raining even sometimes the sun peeked for one or two minutes. Finally we just stayed in swimming pool till around 5pm. But its not so bad, I got free swimming lesson from three teachers hehe…One of them even a real swim teacher somewhere in France. But having too much teachers had made me confuse. Everybody wanted to teach me with different method...euh... KISSED THE DJSaturday, 31 Dec, 11 pm we started to move out from hotel. Our first destination was Fuel, my fave resto and lounge but this time I didn’t have any plan to have dinner in Fuel (even the pad thai is so yummi but mamma, I was full), just wanted to drink and enjoy the Goodnight Electric performance. Goodnight Electric is an electronica band with tree DJs and all of them are vocalist as well. Angga(omleo), our friend from college is one of them. Before Goodnight Electric started their perfomance, there was a cool DJ with a very Mike music. I mean he’s music was just like Mike’s music. Bartender said he’s from German…no wonder then. Maybe in German deep house is ruling. The DJ kept looked at me from his table and I was quite happy with that hehe…Ewi even pushed me to get him drink! But when he’s finish his performance…mamma mia…he walked to his girlfriend who sat three meters from me. Damn! Goodnight Electric was awesome. I can’t explain what their music exactly. I think it mix between eighties music, electronic, Depeche Mode and very dance music with cool performance of the members. Simple words; great tunes to keep you move your legs! Point 8.5! Pass the 00.00 in Fuel with free flow illusion and plastic trumpet around. That night was also the 1st celebration of Fuel, so its really cool. Unfortunately we cant stay longer in Fuel cos our (my) main destination was Double Six. Kissed DJ Angga bye. Around 1.30 am arrived in Double Six. Double Six was full. Usually me always come to Déjà vu and Paparazzi first before 66, but that night straight to 66 seemed a good idea. Met Vince and Rom again there. The DJs were cool, the music was awesome…all great songs were there from Madonna’s till Randy Katana’s…I like the way you move!! Really cant stop dance till dawn. Met the twinz as well but Justin is in UK since bomb 2. His club was not so crowded after that. But if only Justine here, he will be happy that on new year's eve 66 was bloody full! Met several stars like Steven Seagel, Aming, Najib Ali, etc. Aming was disaster! He wore backless kimono. Euh. Rom tried night bungy jump in 66. Scary for me. I prefer do paragliding or sky diving instead. The very deep swimming pool below also made me shiver. Me didn’t even want to sit near the pool. Eeww…But Rom did it pretty cool. He even did some capoiera style on the sky lolz Back to hotel around 10am, dinner, check out and moved to Vince’s hotel to waste the time cos our plane was 20.30 Bali time. It was really cool to spend New Year’s Eve in Bali. And was glad that nothing bad happened in bali. In fact my main destination beside Double Six was to come to DJ Riri’s gig in Kamasutra at 30 Dec…but I donno why...I didn’t want it anymore when I really get there hehehe…
Barely breathing. Got cold since this morning, but at least last night I had a really good sleep. Will fly to Bali this 5pm. Bit lazy in fact. Not because I got cold but since I got another plan for February I kinda regret my trip to Bali for new years. But well…return ticket already in my hand, some plans already set up and friends from Bali called me more than twice already euh. Well ok…Bali I’m coming! (at least DJ Riri is in Bali as well hehe…)
Bye byee..Happy New Year for all!!!
Back to Jakarta again after had 2 days vacation in Nusa Dua Bali. Bali, only 2 days…not enough at all! Especially when I had to stay in Nusa Dua Beach Hotel. Everything in that hotel was great except the food. Nice room, nice view, nice place, nice beach, nice activities, nice people…but bad food. I had twice breakfast in Wedang Jahe resto..tried different menus but none were nice. Had once lunch at Chess Bar but yea…still not nice. But I hope other restaurants in Nusa Dua Beach Hotel have yummi meals…I didn’t had enough time to try everything though. Friday night I arrived around 9 and after chekin in my hotel I went to ClubMed, met a friend there. ClubMed is an exclusive Club for people who love holiday activity. The place is only around 200m far from my hotel so I just walk there thru the beach and met some mad dogs there. Awesome :p Me and Shmuluk, a friend from Ibiza were looking for the club to dance cos -different with Kuta- there is no such night life there. And yeah…we’re bit lucky that there was a dance night in ClubMed but err…only few people there. Not more than 10 even the DJ was cool! I think its because lot of activities in ClubMed so maybe most people doing something else like French game near the beach (I don’t know exactly what kinda game was that. There were some people in square lines and so many silver balls around. They kicked each other…I think) or sports. Saturday afternoon I went snorkeling in Nusa Dua beach area and it was superb! Very nice view down there…God is really creative to create the dazzling interior inside the sea. The fishes are cute and friendly but bit scary alley in some points…makes me don’t want to swim far from the boat. Wondered if only there is a unidentified power sucks me to the alley inside the sea…Awww….Scary! Wanted to go parasailing also but snorkeling make us pretty tired, so we just lay down under the tree on the beach and had lunch in Chess Bar with a companion of squirrels. Lots squirrels there…they had lunch together wt ppl there. Cute! Reminds me to Chip and Dale hehe… In the evening I went to Jimbaran, but before that I picked up Shmuluk and friends in ClubMed and they took me around the ClubMed village. Called village cos the concept is different with hotel (even boutique hotel) and yeah…its really great there. The area is damn large with around 700 rooms, large gardens everywhere, natural ponds and so many sport center like aquagym, archery, bungy bounce, flying trapeze, kayak, windsurfing, yoga, etc. I can see the exclusivity of this French company…Outsider cannot get in except they’re invited by ClubMed guest. And even they’re invited, they’re not allowed to stay there unless they pay for room. And the village staffs are universal people. They’re from Indo, Japan, French, etc. Also the Instructors! They’re cool!! Saw Shmuluk windsurfing’s instructor from Maldives and a bungy bounce instructor who looks like the Paul Walker. Aaw! They’re cool! Well…I will not take any ClubMed package in Bali or wherever! Beside its too expensive for me, the guys there are ace! Cannot stand it! Haha… After walking around in ClubMed, we went to Jimbaran, a paradise for seafood lover with sunset view right in front of us. Very romantic. But there is something annoying for me here. There are some group of singers there…they sing n play music n ask for money. They’re cool n have great voice…but the annoying part is...everytimes I came to Jimbaran there always a time when they sang ‘Hotel California’ songs…I hate that song!! Why they always played that song! Argh!! Nusa Dua Beach Hotel album is here CubMed village album is here Jimbaran album is here (special for Ari hehe...)
After that disaster flight, me arrived in Bali around 2 am and felt soooooooooo tired. Just hit the bed and woke up for breakfast around 9 am with red eyes. Met Tom's wife, Desi for first time and also his cute son Simon at breakfast. This situation bit weird for me because before flew to Denpasar, I got job interview by Tom in the morning and now we met again in vacation! Hehe... After breakfast we went to waterboom. Its my first time to go to Waterboom and the most happiest person here is not Simon, but my bf! I was freak out when he brought me to the highest water-slide. I really didnt want to slide but he kept convince me to try..he said its fun n bloody safe and yeah finally i slide and whoaaaaa!!! scary hell!!! But I like it!!! Then I make next and next and next slide...Fun! At Night we went to club hopping. After dinner me n bf met Tom and wife again in Déjà vu and also another couple; Sofie and her hubby...we were in same flight. Sofie was amazed when I told her that we were taking picture with oxygen mask cos at that time she was crying called god hehe…But I can understand...she’s 5 months pregnant. After Déjà vu, moved to Paparazzi and met another couple from same flight again, the couple who took my pic with oxygen mask (whatta small world). They're Austrian n works in Jakarta for non profit NGO for Aceh. Its kinda ironic for me…they works and talking about poor ppeople while they’re have fun in a nice Club in Bali with cocktail in their hands…How nice… And again, something happened…first time in my life ever! There was a drug razia by police and woohooo!! live on tv! A female police do inspection (is tis the right word?) on female include me, Sofie and Desi but when she tried to inspect the Austrian girl, easily the girl said, no I don’t bring drug and the police left without touch her. Wow? What is this? Racist or the police afraid or what? How is she sure that the girl didn’t bring any drug?! She didn’t even check her wallet or bag…and to other girls she checked everything and touch us from bottom to top! I hope the camera got that view n show it on tv! Grrr… Well…This Bali escapade tis time really interesting! Turbulence, water-slide, and drug razia!! I got them all in 2 days! Nice!
Flight from Jakarta to Denpasar last Friday was a disaster. Eventhough our departure right on time, 20.15, but when first time I stepped my feet on the plane I already feel uncomfy. Well yeah, all of flight attendants were male (quite rare for my eyes though hehe…) but can see clearly how old this plane. The color of seats n carpet is faded and dirty. Sitting area was too small, some people got pain on their knees cos of that. Some functions not working..bla..bla…and beside all of that…this flight was a scary hell! It was raining hard outside n the flight bumpy every second times and suddenly yeah…it happened, the first time in my life, oxygen mask popped up to us n ppl started crying n screaming. I didn’t take that mask right away…cos at that time I feel like amazed by the situation and also because the oxygen mask was soooo dirty! But I have to wear it anyway… Maybe some people thought its funny…A couple who sit in front of me took picture of us with oxygen mask and I did it too! Hehe… We remove the mask after 15 mins and guess what happened? I feel so dizzy had hard coughing and some ppl got vomit. Hmm…I think oxygen mask will makes ppl feel better? No? Hmm…. Batavia Air decided to back to Jakarta again after 45 mins fly. The reason was bad weather. We wait in Cengkareng airport around 30 mins when Batavia announced that we will fly again with different plane. Hm? What was that?? Bad weather or ugly plane??? This Batavia Air is hilarious! If it really a bad weather, its unbelievable we can fly again after 30 mins! Some people decide to cancel their trip cos of fear, but me moved on with yeah a much better condition of Batavia plane and got Denpasar safely at early in the morning. So I think its all about the plane...bad weather maybe...but not that bad :)
Back from Bali last Tuesday nite...but still feel so tired. Miss Beth exhausted! after had 5 days party in Bali. 8 hours sleep for five days...thats crazy! But who need to sleep in Bali anyway? Party at night till morning and going to the beach at day...my sleep time only when i have to wait for hotel ppl to prepare my breakfast. Around 2 hours/ day...how nice! Now in Jakarta already...everything looks like pillow on my eyes...yawnz...
