It’s not easy to drive a mercedes in Germany. I mean not the mercedes itself, but how to get the world most expensive driving license to drive it.
Good thing that I have driving license already issued by my origin country so I just need to ‘convert’ it. It means I can save some euros and times as well. I don’t need to do theory lesson and basic driving lesson which charges per 45 mins.
I just submit my document to convert my driving license yesterday, so I didn't paid for the whole price yet. But so far here are what I already spent:
- Registration fee : 210 €
- Admin fee : 45 €
- Eye test : 8 €
- First Help certificate: 18 €
- Theory Testbook : 70 €
- Theory test : 30 €
- Drivin test : 170 €
- DL translation : 35 €
The instructor said even I don’t need to take a driving lesson, its better to take few hours though, to make sure that I’m familiar with German street things e.g. right street driving, speed limit, unimportant circle in almost every four-junctions and the most important is that German are so obsessed with plants that they put trees and flowers in the middle of the street!
And if I fail the test I have to take a test again means I have to pay the double price. Plus a charge if I don’t show up in appointment day. One more thing is about TÜV fee which is 95 €. Not sure what is TÜV though…
Still have to wait my translation done then the driving school will process my document for around four weeks before finally I can do test.
Yea, everything have to be in ordnung…
To be continue.
