Scientist who said 10 September 2008 is the end of the world turn out to talked rubbish (or am I now in different dimension of the world?). But thelocal who said yesterday is the last sumer day in Germany seems right :(
I'm off to have nice weekend with hubby. Tomorrow he has to fly to Colorado and I'l be menjande for awhile hiks...
Happy weekend all!
| | Last night was so quiet...no honking horn in neighborhood like usual. But we good had time though! |
So yesterday it was a really good weather and we had nuthing to do (you know, Sunday in Germany...). So after lunch we decided to go swimming and it was a good idea. A big swimming pool (which has separated place with kids!) with big park so we can just lay down under the tree with flowers around beside swimming around like a duck. Really different with the last time I came to this swimming pool - on winter!
In a ticketing Daniel asked me if I like to have 4 hours or two hours ticket. Again it was sunny weather and we had nuthing to do (and additionally, I brought a lot of food and water also!), so we went for 4 hours.
Passed the electric door with coin, went to dressing room, wore my bikini, walking around a little bit in indoor swimming pool then headed to outdoor one. Placed our picnic blanket neatly, open food box, took ipod, put sun-protection lotion and then lay down in front of the fat lady with red bikini.
Then the story went on. After 10 mins lay down, we decided to go swim. So we woke up and walked around 30 meters to the pool. Was already jumped to the water when I forgot my goggle. I went back to my blanket and on the way there, suddenly sumthing hit my left feet. I looked down, damnit! A stinger! Maybe from a bee! Or at least a BIG BEE! Cos I didn't see the animal who was nicely left his stinger in my feet! It was quite pain but I was okay.
I took my goggle and back to the pool.Water gave a comfy feeling for my bulging feet. But then the area under my right eye became itchy.I ignored it, just an itchy. But then again...its getting bigger. So I asked the swimming pool management if they have kinda cream cos it might be from caterpillar. Bad luck, they don't have it. But its ok, not that bad...we back to our blanket again, lay down again.
But now, less than 5 mins, its getting bigger and bigger! The whole right part of my face was really bulging like just got a hit from Mike Tyson! So we decided to collect our stuffs and go rushy to emergency hospital. Believe me, when its not that nasty, I wont go to hospital!
On the way to hospital, all over my body started to be itchy and red, but not bulging (yet). Long queue in hospital but doctor called me first, he was shock to see monster face! He asked what happened during quickly prepare some stuffs for me. God! No matter I hate needle, I had to stay there for infusion!
But good thing that it worked fine. Less itchy and the red spot were gone from my body soon. My face still looks like monster, even till I'm writing this. But yea, it gets smaller. I have to put ice also n my face to help it faster. Doctor allow me to go home after 1 hour. He said it will take hours to make my face normal again. And it was really wise idea to drove fast to hospital, otherwise, the whole body will be like balloon!!
This nice young doctor said I had allergy of this unknown animal. I think its not a bee. When I was kid, I got stinged by bee many times, but never been this bad. And even when its really bee, doctor said its a NEW allergy! Perfect!
Moral of the story: nice weather is not guarantee to have fun :D
nb: Picture taken in a day before. Just to remind me hows my face before that bitch animal attacked me :D

| | Sunday afternoon hang out with Sonja in wet and cold Köln. Found warm coffee, crispy chicken and old churches in Altstadt. When its time to went home, suddenly it was sunny, doh! So -of course- we did some stupid poses first in front of the Dom :p |
| | Last weekend Daniel, Holger, Dagmar and I went to Netherlands. The idea was go to the beach to get some tan. So of course beside chips and strawberry cake, bikini plus sunblock were in our bag :))
After around 3 hours in the car, we stopped in Veere, a historical city which famous as a favorite haunt of artist. No wonder, cos its nice view there...Views of lake, river and fancy shops of course. Daniel got amazed with some canon balls and insist to take picture with it. Euh...I don't. I have enough canon ball in Indonesia, left by Dutch! Hehe...
After Veere, we continued to Domburg, where the beach in.Domburg was only around 14 km from Veere. After lunch and window shopping (it reminds me to Kuta, but of course its different:p), we took our bags to the beach. Good that we found blanket in Holger's car cos the weather report was damn lying. Its bloody cold and windy instead of 29 celcius degree of sunny day! So bikini, stay in the bag bitte...
It was a really nice trip except the springrolls I ate somewhere near the beach. It didn't well cooked, but luckily we were not that hungry to complain :p
Back to Kerpen, raining hard and lighting along the way but we got home safely and happy, yay!

| | This is annual event in Germany by red Bull ( http://www.redbullflugtag.de/ ). This time the event held in Koln, so I had a chance to see it. The place is cool and the weather is perfect for people who like to fly. But not much can make it in fact hehe...Around 100.000 people there, from kids to old ones.
First, we arrived at Wilhelm-Sollmann-Straße by train. And from there many Red Bull buses already waiting to fetch us to the lake. Its better to take public transport than by car cos the loong traffic jam is unbelievable.
Here some pics. |
| | Tiring but lots fun! Visit 4 resorts in a day; The Bay Villas-Tanjung Lesung, Umang Island, Mutiara Carita, and Lippo Carita Resort |
Watched The Da Vinci Code at EX on last Friday. It’s stunning but people who read the book said the movie is awful. Lucky I didn’t read the book then. Tom Hanks with that kinda hair style reminds me to Castello (but in my opinion Castello is more handsome than Tom Hanks hehe…). Some dialogues didn’t translated into indo subtitle. I read in the news that the translator said they only translated the necessary dialogue (!!). Ah. Then around 20% dialogues in the movie are not important eh? I think they just trying to avoid the trouble if they translated sensitive dialogue. But people who doesn’t really fluent in English will miss some points of the movie I guess.
After movie, I attended Chivas Regal regular party, this time in Babyface. Was not really fun there, came too early, still many press n camera everywhere. Me not use to be a celebrities hehehe…My friend had an idea to move out to a gay club and it sounded interesting cos I never been there. So we were in gay club! Watched semi striptease male. Eeew…it wasn’t generate an erotic sense to us (except my gay friend, maybe :p) but quite fun to enjoy the time there, dance till drop without any worries of irresponsibility act of men hehehe…
Btw from my home to EX XXI, I drove taxi by myself!! The driver was sleepy and drive crazy so I offered him to sleep and I drove the taxi! I only paid half of the bill then hehehe…It happened to me twice! Guess I can consider taxi driver as my next job huehehehe...
TIESTO ROCKS!!!
Watched his perfomance with mr Joey Tribbiani. Waaah..it was ace! Im outta words!
Another long weekend just over. Did not that busy like the last long weekend. Friday joined Pipit to do interview for Table Setting article and as I expected, I met Joe, my long lost friend. I was reading a draft for Prestige next month edition when my eyes caught a name that I was so familiar: Photography by Joe True. Then I got rushy asking my colleagues who’s this Joe True, is that my Joe True?? And to make it sure, Pipit told me that she has interview with Joe as photographer that afternoon so I can join her if I want. And well yeah… it’s my Joe! I met his wife as well, the same girl he loved to talk about when he was still single :)
Joe was a annoying guy hehe…afraid of the dark, stubborn wanted to drive a motorbike even he cant do it properly (he sacred me to death for that!) and loved to call me at 3 or 4 am in the morning just to told me a fairy tales from a drunk boy hehe…
I met Joe at first time when a bunch of people from Jakarta College came to my college and Joe part of that guest. But when his friends left Jogjakarta after had some programs, Joe decided to stay. He loved Jogja and I took him a ride with my motorbike beside becak. And when he had to go back to Jakarta we became a long good friends. Last news I heard from him that he’s getting married and after that we lost contact. Now we met again and he has daughter already. Wah…Joe is a daddy :)
After the interview, Pipit and I went to Blok M Plaza and we saw Costello there…but we pretend we didn’t see him cos we’re lazy to say hi that that snobbish. Around 9 pm back to home and it was so traffic. Tried to call Mauro to overcome boredom inside d car but his phone always busy. Thought he will call me back after several rings but he did not. I thought he's angry but he didn't :p
Saturday had lunch with Novita in Hardrock and did birthday present hunt for my boyfriend. Finally I got it! Hope he gonna love it :)
For some reasons, since this edition, I follow Neil to hide some character’s real name :)
So I really had a great weekend after a really lousy week ever.Friday night went to Third Eye Studio to attend opening party of Ruang Per Ruang Exhibition. Was really fun. Met several friends from Jogja, surrounded with many installation arts and a music season with fun DJs. In Jogja we had so many events like this (art, punker, music, alcohol, artist, and maybe drug somewhere) but in Jakarta, this is my first. A busy Jakarta and the long distance anywhere had made me always lazy to attend art exhibition party. Installation by Dionysius (Visual Communication Design-Indonesian Institute of Arts Yogyakarta and Art History Magister-Passau University Germany) was the most attractive art I saw. The title is ‘Memento Mori’. It’s a dressing room, with classic make up desk full of make up tools from nail color till hairspray. Audience can feel free to sit in front of the mirror and do make up there. I use the black nail color only. My friend even worst, Dion changed her into a gothic punker as he is! But she looked cool. The concept is about how people have to enjoy the present time they live in this earth before their death. “Eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die” (Yesaya 22:13) and “nunc est bibendum, nunc pede pulsanda tellus” (Latin: Now is the time to drink, now is the time to dance footloose upon the earth. – Odes of Horace) are the literature he mentioned in his concept for this Memento Mori.Other arts are just to look, not to jump our self into it as Dion’sSaturday met Mauro. Finally, after several pending we did gift handover that day. I got a cute elephants and he got a cigarette case and a box of Bethmade keripik paru hehe... I hope the chips are okay for him. I made that with very sleepy eyes and in hurry mode after back from art exhibition at 3 in the morning. Tried to shop some beach equipment, but I couldn’t find any white color as I want. Mauro pointed me a white and black color but I think my skin color won’t be match with that.Sunday had a quiet day. Did some writing…but this time I wasn’t trying to make fiction…I was busy make some writing to my Daniel. Hm… Around 9 pm Ewi popped up in my room with short pants and sandal jepit, asked me to go out for dinner, so we went out. We talk a lot on the way to somewhere till we realized that we already in Kemang. We didn’t plan to go that far in fact.We kept talking on the way to order desk macdo…till we realized that no one bring enough money. Ewi thought I bring money. I thought she brings money. So we just stare each other full of hate. Our money was only enough for one regular size of French fries and one cone ice cream. With ‘ready to sleep’ suit and no money, we decided to enjoy our poor meal inside the car then. Tried to call friends around Kemang to look for help (damn! We’re really poor! Haha…) and didn’t occurred in our mind to go to ATM cos we both didn’t bring any ATM card! Hehehe…And then there he came…Zap! Our angel ever! Mister Mauro on d phone and allow us to pick him up in his apartment. The rest was his responsibility. He took us to Mahimahi resto in Antasari street. Finally we had a proper meal and my head no longer dizzy. A bit embarrassed in fact…but well…let say it’s a farewell party celebration before Mauro go back to Switzerland for Xmas hehe…What an excuse. Thx a lot Macuco…you’re d best!
Lastnight Donny fetch me to hairdresser and on the way there, Riri called him. Ahem... I know they're friend n its not the first time I heard Donny talk with Riri on d phone...but it was before I became Riri's fan. Ahem... And I kept calling his name when they're talking till Donny shut me up hehe...
I know where Riri is going to be this weekend...the problem is I have no friends to go to d clubs nowadays! euh!
Hmm...ok forget Riri this time..maybe free flow wine for rp. 120.000 is not too bad for tonight

| | Met seniors friends from college in Cartel Cafe (again) and had some narcist photo shoots hehehe... |
| | Went to karaoke with housemates on Friday night - in NAF, kelapa Gading. Lots fun..and four hours was like only one hour hehe...After karaoke we continued to had sahur in Menteng and back home at 4 in the morning. Sleep all day then... |
Back to Jakarta again after had 2 days vacation in Nusa Dua Bali. Bali, only 2 days…not enough at all! Especially when I had to stay in Nusa Dua Beach Hotel. Everything in that hotel was great except the food. Nice room, nice view, nice place, nice beach, nice activities, nice people…but bad food. I had twice breakfast in Wedang Jahe resto..tried different menus but none were nice. Had once lunch at Chess Bar but yea…still not nice. But I hope other restaurants in Nusa Dua Beach Hotel have yummi meals…I didn’t had enough time to try everything though. Friday night I arrived around 9 and after chekin in my hotel I went to ClubMed, met a friend there. ClubMed is an exclusive Club for people who love holiday activity. The place is only around 200m far from my hotel so I just walk there thru the beach and met some mad dogs there. Awesome :p Me and Shmuluk, a friend from Ibiza were looking for the club to dance cos -different with Kuta- there is no such night life there. And yeah…we’re bit lucky that there was a dance night in ClubMed but err…only few people there. Not more than 10 even the DJ was cool! I think its because lot of activities in ClubMed so maybe most people doing something else like French game near the beach (I don’t know exactly what kinda game was that. There were some people in square lines and so many silver balls around. They kicked each other…I think) or sports. Saturday afternoon I went snorkeling in Nusa Dua beach area and it was superb! Very nice view down there…God is really creative to create the dazzling interior inside the sea. The fishes are cute and friendly but bit scary alley in some points…makes me don’t want to swim far from the boat. Wondered if only there is a unidentified power sucks me to the alley inside the sea…Awww….Scary! Wanted to go parasailing also but snorkeling make us pretty tired, so we just lay down under the tree on the beach and had lunch in Chess Bar with a companion of squirrels. Lots squirrels there…they had lunch together wt ppl there. Cute! Reminds me to Chip and Dale hehe… In the evening I went to Jimbaran, but before that I picked up Shmuluk and friends in ClubMed and they took me around the ClubMed village. Called village cos the concept is different with hotel (even boutique hotel) and yeah…its really great there. The area is damn large with around 700 rooms, large gardens everywhere, natural ponds and so many sport center like aquagym, archery, bungy bounce, flying trapeze, kayak, windsurfing, yoga, etc. I can see the exclusivity of this French company…Outsider cannot get in except they’re invited by ClubMed guest. And even they’re invited, they’re not allowed to stay there unless they pay for room. And the village staffs are universal people. They’re from Indo, Japan, French, etc. Also the Instructors! They’re cool!! Saw Shmuluk windsurfing’s instructor from Maldives and a bungy bounce instructor who looks like the Paul Walker. Aaw! They’re cool! Well…I will not take any ClubMed package in Bali or wherever! Beside its too expensive for me, the guys there are ace! Cannot stand it! Haha… After walking around in ClubMed, we went to Jimbaran, a paradise for seafood lover with sunset view right in front of us. Very romantic. But there is something annoying for me here. There are some group of singers there…they sing n play music n ask for money. They’re cool n have great voice…but the annoying part is...everytimes I came to Jimbaran there always a time when they sang ‘Hotel California’ songs…I hate that song!! Why they always played that song! Argh!! Nusa Dua Beach Hotel album is here CubMed village album is here Jimbaran album is here (special for Ari hehe...)
